Can the CCP be deterred from invading Taiwan?

PTS podcast host Joy Votrobek discusses what could deter the CCP from attacking Taiwan with ASCF Sr. Analyst Laurence Sanford. Obstacles for the CCP to reconsider could include U.S. alliances in the Indo-Pacific region; economic consequences from the international community; and internal challenges that may deter engagement with Taiwan. There appears to be a growing community of Chinese people who are unhappy and do not agree with the CCP government.

Mr. Sanford is a U.S. Navy veteran who served four years with the CIA. Ms. Votrobek has a degree in International Relations and has worked in security services for over seven years.
